Local Politics

The Media Collective for Democracy will stage a protest in front or Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL) against biased reporting and partidan conduct.

Politicians representing the United National Front will also attend the protest, along with meis activists and civil society representatives.

Addressing a press conference earlier this week, the collective said it would stage protests outside every media institution engaging in biased reporting.

The UNP, in a media statement, requested all media institutions to refrain from using official titles to identify any Parliamentarian, as there is no official government in the country according to article 48(2) of the constitution.
